Kafugan Mining Incorporated (KMI) is a mining company engaged in exploring, developing and operating mineral properties in the Philippines. KMI currently has three (3) projects, namely:
- Copper-Gold Project in Saranggani
(under exploration)
- Limestone Project in Surigao Del Norte
(under exploration)
- Nickel Laterite Project in Surigao Del Sur
(operating)
The Company commenced its commercial operations last October 2022 on its flagship project, the Pantukan Nickel Laterite Project located in Carrascal, Surigao Del Sur, Mindanao. The said project is bounded by KMI's MPSA with Nos. 247-2007-XIII-SMR Amended A and B covering a total area of 3,248.06 hectares.
In 2023, KMI completed development of its target mining areas and mine facilities, allowing it to go on full blast operations. Since start of its commercial operations last October 2022, the Company has already completed a total of 37 vessels amounting to 2.03 Million Tons of quality nickel ore shipped to its clients.
For the succeeding years, KMI will have an annual production and shipment target of 5 Million Tons equivalent to 91 vessels.
