MAGNEZYUM VE METAL TOZLARI ENDÜSTRI VE TICARET A. S. …. was set up by Almamet GmbH/Germany in 1984 for the cost-effective production of magnesium products with special focus on granules for the iron and steel industry. In addition, the plant is also well equipped for producing the traditional magnesium products such as magnesium rasping for the chemical industry, magnesium powder for welding electrodes, pyrotechnics, refractory and pharmaceutical industries. The company has been in close cooperation with ALMAMET ever since, its products being marketed and sold under a long term license and business agreement. The plantis located in the European part of Turkey and was originally designed with a starting capacity of 2000 tons/year. However, in order to meet increasing demands of industries,also started to produce magnesium-based desulfurization reagents to the Turkish steel industry and enlarged its capacity up to 4000 tons/year by installation of new blending station and second production line. Today Al/Mg alloy powders for pyrotechnic and refractory applications also included in the production rangeand the total capacity of MME has surpassed 6000 tons/year. The company is the market leader for desulphurization reagents in Turkey, while ALMAMET is marketing its products worldwide to all of major chemical plants and steelworks in Europe, India, CIS, Middle East and the USA. MME is certified for ISO 9001 for more than 10 years.  In addition, MME is candidate of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
