NJZ Resources (HK) Ltd., (NJZ-HK) (known for manganese, chrome and iron ore importerts into China) was established in January 2008 as a Hong Honk based company that supply various China based manganese, chrome alloy smelters and steel mills in China. The company operated since 2008 sourcing and trading in manganese ore, iron ore, chrome ore developing additional supply sources for their principal “pool” of Chinese parastatel and private end-user steel, manganese and chrome alloy smelting mills in China. In 2009 during the global economic crisis NJZ exported on short-term contract within 6 months over 550,000mt of “distressed” iron ore cargoes from Anglo Ferrous Amapa Mineracao (part of the ANGLO Group). In 2009 during a market slump NJZ-HK also exported 40,000mt manganese ore under complicated circumstances from EML mine in Amapa, Brazil. In early 2010 NJZ participated in a tender in Zimbabwe for the 5.6 million metric ton Buchwa iron ore stockpile and invested over US$3.5 million in bid bonds and equipment to process the iron ore stockpile. With the decline in iron ore price in 4th Q 2014, NJZ Resources (HK) Ltd put on hold their Zimbabwe iron ore project. NJZ-HK remains the exclusive “owner” of the rights to export the Buchwa iron ore stockpile under the tender award given by Ministry of Industry and Mines of Zimbabwe in 2011.
