TISCO was founded in 1934. TISCO insists on the strategy of “winning by new product”. Some of its key products have been used in petroleum, chemical, shipbuilding, container, railway, automobile, urban light rail, power generation, “Shenzhou” series spacecrafts and other key sectors and emerging industries. Over 20 steel grades take biggest market share in China. More than 30 varieties have replaced the imported counterparts successfully, of which pen tip steel, high-Mn high-N stainless steel and AP1000 third generation extrusion C type stainless steel for nuclear power satisfied the urgent demands of the markets, contributing significantly to the domestication of key materials.

 

TISCO adheres to green concept. It is building a green development system of “six in one”, i.e. green mine, green procurement, green logistics, green manufacturing, green products and green industry. A number of energy-saving and emission-reducing and circular economy projects have put into operation successfully. Those projects include CDQ (Coke dry quenching), CMC (Coal moisture control), desulphurization and acid making with COG (Coke oven gas), desulphurization & denitration and acid-making with sintering flue gas, combined cycle power generation with blast furnace gas, power generation with blast furnace gas, power generation with saturated steam, steel slag treatment, industrial water treatment with industry membrane, urbane sewage treatment, acid regeneration and etc. With leading main environmental indexes, TISCO is a green development model enterprise in domestic iron& steel industry as well as a national ecological design pilot enterprise for industrial products.
