Looking for Metallurgical-grade Trihydrate Bauxite

1. Overview of Requirement

Quest Resources LLC is seeking to establish a reliable, long-term supply agreement for metallurgical-grade Trihydrate Bauxite suitable for alumina refining and aluminium production. The initial requirement is for a spot shipment of 450,000 metric tons, followed by an annual commitment of up to 5 million metric tons, subject to successful trial cargo and performance evaluation.

2. Chemical Specifications

Bauxite must meet or exceed the following composition criteria:

- Al2O3 (Alumina):

Min 45+% (Reactive alumina preferred)

- SiO2 (Silica):

Max 2.00% (Total silica content)

- Fe2O3 (Iron Oxide):

Max 25.00% (High iron acceptable within limit)

- TiO2 (Titanium Dioxide):

Max 4.00%

- Moisture Content:

Max 16.00% (As received basis)

*Note: Supplier must provide full chemical analysis (wet and dry basis) from an independent laboratory or certified in-house facility.*

3. Physical Specifications

- Size: 75mm or below (Minimum 60% of material to be ≤ 75mm)

- Type: Trihydrate Bauxite (Gibbsite)

- Form: Crushed, bulk-loaded

- Fines: Minimal; excessive fines must be avoided 

4. Shipment Terms

- Initial Trial Shipment: 450,000 MT

- Annual Requirement: 5,000,000 MT

- Preferred Delivery Terms: FOB

- Discharge Port: Shenzhen, China

- Loading Port: To be confirmed by supplier

- Incoterms: 2020 edition

- Delivery Window: To commence within 4–6 weeks of agreement (trial shipment)

5. Supplier Obligations

- Provide detailed Certificate of Analysis (CoA) for each shipment

- Ensure consistency in quality across all cargoes

- Comply with environmental, health, and safety standards applicable in the loading jurisdiction
